Central Lancashire Green Party (CLGP) is a local division of the Green Party of England and Wales. We cover the areas of the City of Preston, South Ribble, Chorley along with parts of Wyre and Preston North and also a section of Ribble Valley. Information about other local green parties in Cheshire, Merseyside, Cumbria, and Lancashire can be found via the North West Green Party.
Both locally and nationally our numbers are growing as more people find out about the Green Party and what they stand for. Over the course of 2014 Central Lancashire green party members more than trebled.
We are relaxed and friendly and meet once a month in Preston city centre. New members are always welcome to come to meetings and participate as much or as little as they want.
The green party is serious about providing real alternative policies and take a clear and strong stance on issues such as Fracking, TTIP, increasing the minimum wage, opposing NHS privatisation and supporting sensible and sustainable approaches to transport and energy.
You can explore the full details of Green Party policies on the dedicated policy website.
If you join the green party you will become a valued member of a group of ordinary people dedicated to working for the common good.
